I finished the chapter 3 script today, which was exciting. I'm really looking forward to starting on ch 4's script because it finally gives West a chance to have some substantial page time.
In terms of actual drawing/page production, though, things have been a little wobbly. I've had both minor illnesses and unrelated doctor's appointments cropping up a lot, so the past few weeks have seen me skipping buffer additions (ie only making 3 pages instead of 4 in a week). This week in particular was difficult mentally, physically, and schedule-wise, so I gave myself a couple days off work.
So basically, I've lost traction on a couple of my buffer pages, but with still over 20, I'm not too worried... although, I really would like to take a maintenance week soon to just organize the plot, scripts, and buffer pages more. I also wanna recode a portion of the archive page here on this site. So... I hope to regain my bearings soon so that I can focus on the most important priority in my life: Exvulnerum.
Not to say that other things don't get in the way because haha they sure are. I'm so glad I have a buffer system.

Wow, it's already been six weeks since the Enterprise Launch... time is sure flying! I have certainly been keeping busy with my new full-time work load, and so far there haven't been any major slip-ups. I've consistently made 4 pages per week (sans last week; I had a pulmonology appointment and thus lowered my goal to 3 pages) and have earned myself a net gain of +3 extra buffers since the launch (which will translate to +4 at the end of this week), meaning I could very well take a full week off the next time I need to. It feels great to be so on-schedule. There hasn't been much of a stress crunch, either, so I think I've hit upon a perfect stride here.
The one thing that hasn't exactly been going to plan is my readership and its growth. Looking at the numbers I'm pulling in on a daily basis (sometimes it will be under 10 pageviews--even a zero here and there), I realize that it's a lot harder to grow one than I thought. I estimate, based on deviantART and the site's pageviews, I have about 20-25 readers currently with the vast majority keeping updated via deviantART. It's going to be an uphill battle trying to amass a community here on this site.
But I'm not going to worry about it too much or distract myself playing the advertising game because I'm still at an early point in the story and there might not be much there to truly base a community on yet. Hopefully by next year, things will be different.
Okay, I better get back to working on the chapter 3 script.

So, even though the Enterprise Launch was a few days ago, I didn't start drawing new pages again until today (working on page 73 right now). I haven't drawn any pages (not counting a cover) since the trial runs more than a month ago! So I have to swing back into the groove of things.
It was hard work, today. I spent 8 hours drawing, and that was only getting the sketch and lineart finished! Woo-wee! But I actually had an unexpected amount of fun, and it felt very satisfying to tire myself out drawing all day again. I hope the positive trend continues.
This was only day 1 of year 1 of hopefully 10+ years of full-time comicking. But it was a great kickoff!

January 2nd has finally arrived, and with it, the Enterprise Launch! This means that, starting with today's upload, a new page will be uploaded every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. A strict and frequent update schedule, finally!

Approaching Launch & Disqus
We are quickly approaching the launch of my new 3X weekly update schedule! I have decided to call this event the Enterprise Launch!
I announced this launch on my deviantART, but I haven't received very much feedback. However, I've been trying to drum up some excitement via bonus art, and that might be working a little! I've already uploaded 5 pieces and plan to at least make 1 more, so I'm hoping for a big launch day on January 2nd!
In other news, I shut the forums down (which is no big deal since nobody but me has posted in years) and instead have implemented Disqus comments here on the site! That means you won't have to click any links to go to forums where you have to register to comment--instead, you can do it right from the very page you're reading, and even as a guest!
I'm a little worried about resorting to a third-party system to store the community's activity, but I feel like this is the best choice I can make right now as the community doesn't really exist yet, and I don't have to worry about the forums anymore. Wow, for a forum with no active users, it sure required a lot of upkeep! (lol)
I am still very excited for this next phase of the webcomic and am holding my breath in eager anticipation for when I start uploading again!
That's all for this time.
P.S. Ariel was the one who got Disqus to work, so I bestowed the title of BOSS on her. Yes.

As promised, I got an RSS feed up and working! I'm new to running one, so forgive me if I mess up, lol, but please subscribe if that's your sort of thing!
